Ingredients

Bananas
Dark Chocolate (choose a high cacao content - ideally 85% or above if possible)
Chopped nuts

Recipe

1) Peel and chop the bananas into large chunks. Lay out on a plate or small tray and push in a small wooden lolly stick or cocktail stick into the centre of each banana chunk. Then place in the freezer for at least a couple of hours until the banana is frozen solid.

2) Place some dark chocolate in a microwavable jug and heat in the microwave until melted.

3) Prepare a small plate with the chopped nuts spread out over it.

4) Remove the frozen banana from the freezer and dip each piece of banana into the melted chocolate so that it is covered around the sides. Immediately roll the chocolate banana in the chopped nuts and set aside on another plate to set.

5) Continue to follow the same process with all banana chunks. Place in the freezer again to set before enjoying

Top Tips

If there are any ingredients that you do not like in any of the recipes, then feel free to swap them out for another food choice within the same food category (grains, beans & other legumes, fruit, veg, nuts & seeds).

You can also use frozen fruit or veg when you don’t have the fresh option.
