Cauliflower Sauce

Use this delicious and versatile cauliflower sauce to add to anything from pasta dishes, pizza bases, Buddha Bowls and roast dinners.

This easy recipe is enough to make a small tub of cauliflower sauce, but feel free to increase quantities as necessary to keep plenty to hand in your fridge.

You can also freeze it for future use to save time and effort later.

Feel free to use frozen veg/fruit/herbs etc in any of my recipes if you don’t have fresh options.

Ingredients

1/2 Large Cauliflower
4 tsp Garlic
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
400ml Water
Sprinkle of Black Pepper

Recipe

1) Cut cauliflower into chunks and steam or boil in water until soft.
2) Place cooked cauliflower and all other ingredients in a blender. Blend until fully combined and smooth.
3) If the mixture is too thick for your liking, add some more water and blend until you find the right consistency.

Enjoy your cauliflower sauce with a salad/side dishes or other healthy meals.

Top Tips

If there are any ingredients that you do not like in any of the recipes, then feel free to swap them out for another food choice within the same food category (grains, beans & other legumes, fruit, veg, nuts & seeds).

You can also use frozen fruit or veg when you don’t have the fresh option.

Don’t forget to keep the skins on your veg where possible for essential added fibre and nutrition.
