Chocolate Mousse

This delicious dessert recipe makes 2 portions.

Ingredients

1 Ripe Avocado
2 tbsp Cacao Powder
2 tbsp Milk (any kind, including oat, soya, almond etc)
1 tbsp Apple Sauce (See homemade Apple Sauce Recipe)

Recipe

1) Cut avocado in half, discard the stone and scoop out avocado flesh.

2) Place avocado and all other ingredients into a food processor/high speed blender. Blend until fully combined.

3) Check consistency. Add more milk if mixture seems too solid.

Enjoy your chocolate mousse with a sprinkle of fresh berries on the top and a sprig of mint if you wish.

Top Tips

If there are any ingredients that you do not like in any of the recipes, then feel free to swap them out for another food choice within the same food category (grains, beans & other legumes, fruit, veg, nuts & seeds).

You can also use frozen fruit or veg when you don’t have the fresh option.

Don’t forget to keep the skins on your veg where possible for essential added fibre and nutrition.
