Berry Coulis

Berry Coulis.png

Ingredients

A selection of mixed berries e.g. raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries.

Recipe

1) Chop some of the larger berries, such as strawberries, into halves or quarters.

2) Place all berries into a microwavable jug and microwave until the fruit has fully broken down with lots of juices running out.

3) Use a hand blender to blend the fruit until you get a more runny, smooth texture..

Enjoy your coulis drizzled on banana nice-cream, chocolate pudding, one of our other healthy desserts or with a healthy snack like our fruit kebabs.

Top Tips

You can also make this in a pan on the hob, rather than the microwave if you prefer.

If there are any ingredients that you do not like in any of the recipes, then feel free to swap them out for another food choice within the same food category (grains, beans & other legumes, fruit, veg, nuts & seeds).

You can also use frozen fruit or veg when you don’t have the fresh option.

Don’t forget to keep the skins on your veg where possible for essential added fibre and nutrition.
